At today's district review meeting, Ajit Pawar to decide on a control strategy of COVID-19 virus

On Thursday, Maharashtra announced the highest number of single-day cases and deaths since the pandemic began last year. In the last 24 hours, the state reported 43,183 new infections and 249 deaths, taking the total to 28,56,163 infections and 54,898 deaths. In today's review meeting, Pune district guardian minister Ajit Pawar will determine whether or not to enforce lockdown in the region. Pawar and the district administration agreed not to enforce a curfew in the district during the last review meeting. However, Pawar has confirmed that if the number of cases in Pune continues to increase, the city will be put under lockdown.
