Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Chief Minister of poll-bound state Tamil Nadu has reached out to Jallikattu protestors and announced that the cases registered amid the Jallikattu protests will be withdrawn. He further stated that the withdrawal will be done so in consultation with legal experts. CM EPS’s this statement comes in ahead of Tamil Nadu State Assembly Elections. These cases date back to 2017 when pro- Jallikattu protests had broken out in Tamil Nadu. Two years after the protests, Tamil Nadu CM EPS reached out to protestors and vowed to withdraw the cases.
