TMC MP Nusrat Jahan released after being admitted to hospital over ‘breathing problem’

Trinamool Congress MP from Basirhat Nusrat Jahan was released from Apollo Gleneagles Hospital in Kolkata on Monday, a day after she was admitted there due to respiratory issues.

Abhishek Majumdar, the spokesperson for the actor, said, "Nusrat has been admitted in hospital due to a respiratory issue. She has a record of Asthma in the past as well."

The actor's family rubbished reports that claimed that she was admitted to the hospital following medicine overdose.

A statement released from her family said, "Nusrat was admitted to hospital due to a respiratory issue. She has a
history of Asthma. Jahan is at ICU, but her condition is stable. She is conscious."

A senior official at the hospital, where the TMC MP is currently undergoing treatment, told PTI that Jahan's condition improved on Monday morning.

During the Lok Sabha elections this year, Nusrat had defeated her nearest rival BJP’s Sayantan Ghosh by 3,50,369 votes.

The TMC leader tied the knot with Kolkata-based businessman Nikhil Jain in the Turkish town of Bodrum in the presence of family and close friends on June 19.
