Time Magazine site hacked to make N. Korean leader Kim Jong 'person of the year'

Washington, Dec. 19 (ANI): North Korean dictator Kim Jong Eun has been selected by Time magazine as their man of the year.

This comes after Internet forum 4Chan hacked TIME's website and rigged the results to give the supreme leader 5.6 million votes for TIME's person of the year, the magazine's venerable honor usually reserved for leaders and visionaries.

"While we don't make our selection based on the poll results," TIME executive editor Radhika Jones said.

"It's always interesting to see where some of our preferred candidates end up," she added.

According to TIME, 4Chan hacked in and manipulated the results to read 'KJU GAS CHAMBERS,' a reference to Adolph Hitler (TIME's person of the year in 1938).

Other people on the list included The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, Undocumented Immigrants, Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, Burmese leaders Aung San Suu Kyi and Thein Sein, and Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi , the Daily Mail reports

The largest number of "no way" votes went to Morsi. (ANI)
