Barely days after Pakistan's announcement of former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav caused outrage in India, three R&AW agents were arrested from near Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Pakistani media on Saturday claimed.
Media outlets in Pakistan reported that three Indian agents and a man known to be the mastermind behind the Abbaspur bomb blast were arrested during a search operation.
Rawalkot DIG Sajjad Hussain confirmed the news and said that the three men working for Research and Analysis wing.
"We have arrested three terrorists - Khalil, Imtiaz, and Rashid. All three individuals were paid agents of the Indian intelligence agency RAW. The terrorists have disclosed that several Indian army officers, including Major Ranjeet, Major Sultan, and another officer had been in touch with them," Hussain was d as saying by Geo News.
Hussain told Pakistani media that the three were tasked with attacking the Combined Military Hospital and disrupting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. The local media d that one of the accused - identified as Khalil - had crossed the LoC for over 14 times.
The police told the Pakistan media that Khalil obtained the IED from Indian side which he later planted near the Abbaspur police station.
The reports also said Khalil received a sum of Rs 5 lakh to carry out the attack.
