Three new COVID-19 cases in Mizoram

Aizawl, Nov 16 (PTI) Mizoram on Monday reported three new COVID-19 cases, pushing the state's tally to 3,396, a senior official said.

Two cases were recorded in Saitual and one in Mamit.

One of the new three patients is a jawan of the Indian Army, the official said.

Mizoram currently has 516 active cases, while 2,876 people have recovered from the infection.

Of the 516 active cases, 423 are in Aizawl, 33 in Lawngtlai, 13 each in Lunglei and Mamit, 11 in Khawzawl, eight in Serchhip, six in Kolasib, four each in Champhai and Saitual and one in Hnahthial district.

Saiha district in the southern part of the state is currently coronavirus-free.

Four COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the northeastern state so far.

As many as 1,30,825 samples have been tested in the state to this date. PTI COR RMS RMS
