Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s late father Krishnaraj Rai’s birth anniversary is today.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai had succumbed to his illness and passed away in March 2017 with his doting daughter by his side through it all.
As her dad’s birth anniversary is today, Aishwarya has decided to something special in memory of him. The actress will be sponsoring 100 surgeries for children born with cleft lips and palates.
A source revealed to the daily, “Aishwarya has decided to celebrate her father’s birthday in a special way by sponsoring surgeries for 100 children born with cleft lips and palates through the NGO, Smile Train India and announce the day as ‘Day of Smiles’.”
“She will be visiting a suburban hospital in Mumbai with her mother Vrinda Rai and her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, to meet cleft-lip patients and motivate the children to pursue their dreams,” the source continued.
Now that is a thoughtful gesture, indeed!
Meanwhile, Aaradhya turned six recently and the whole Bachchan family made it a birthday to remember as they organised a stat-studded princess party for their munchkin.
The party was attended by many Bollywood stars who brought along their kids to celebrate Aaradhya’s birthday which included Shah Rukh Khan with son AbRam Khan, Aamir Khan with son Azad Rao Khan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra with son Viaan Raj Kundra amongst others.
Aishwarya and Aaradhya even posed for the paparazzi with Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan shared many inside pictures from the party including one with Shah Rukh and AbRam who was ecstatic to have candy floss.
