Terrorists involved in Panzgam attack escape: Intelligence report

There is a possibility of disrupting the durbar movement from Jammu to Srinagar . The durbar moves from Sunday.

Intelligence sources say that two terrorists who were involved in the Panzgam attack day before yesterday escaped. Army had confirmed that one of the two had a weapon, while one terrorist dropped his weapon and ran off.

One of the two has been injured in the fighting. They have met up with 6 more terrorists and there is a threat to targets in Kupwara and Srinagar.

As mentioned earlier, there is a possibility of disrupting the durbar movement from Jammu to Srinagar . The durbar moves from Sunday.

Following the incident, the Army had enforced their vigil to plug the infiltration of terrorists who attempt to cross the LoC.

The Army has received inputs that that there would be concerted attempts by ISIS to push more terrorists to the region.

THE ATTACK

Three armymen, including a Captain, were martyred in a pre-dawn fidayeen attack at an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara.

Two terrorists were killed in the attack on the Army base located close to the Line of Control (LoC).

Firing later stopped and security forces launched combing operation in and around the Army camp in Panzigan

Seven jawans, who were injured in the attack, were airlifted to Srinagar for better treatment. The deceased officer was identified as Captain Ayush Yadav.
