Academy: Details about Tendulkar's coaching academy
The Tendulkar-Middlesex Global Academy is conducting scouting camps, starting next month.
It starts off from the DY Patil Stadium (November 1-4) and will then move to the MIG Club in Bandra from November 6-9.
The camp will be operating, in Pune, from November 12 to 15 and November 17 to 20.
Nick Compton and Dawid Malan are also a part of the coaching setup.
Fall-out: The two friends had earlier fallen out
Tendulkar and Kambli had earlier fallen out as the latter believed his more successful friend had forgotten him.
Kambli was, reportedly, hurt when Tendulkar did not invite him for his post-retirement party after ending his 24-year international cricket career.
However, with Tendulkar inviting Kambli to bring up talents from where they started, the two friends seem to have reconciled.
Fact: Tendulkar and Kambli's world record during their school days
In February 1988, the two friends had put up a partnership of 664* during a match between their school, Shardashram Vidyamandir School, and St Xavier's High School during the semi-finals of The Harris Shield Tournament, a record that stood till 2006.
Comments: Comments from the two friends regarding the new project
Asked about his new collaboration with Kambli, Tendulkar said, "When we met recently, I told him about my project and Vinod readily agreed to contribute. I am delighted to have him on board".
Kambli, too, was ecstatic, saying, "It's a great opportunity to go back to the maidans with him and re-live our days there. I thank Sachin for showing faith in me,"
