Telugu daily journalist along with family commits suicide
In a tragic incident, a young journalist committed suicide along with his entire family in Siddipet District of Telangana.
The deceased, identified as Hanumantha Rao, committed suicide by hanging himself at home. Rao's wife also attempted suicide and is admitted to local hospital in a critical condition.
Tragically their two children, who were throttled by the couple, lost their lives.
According to Siddipet ACP Rameshwar, 35-year-old Hanumanth Rao was working with a Telugu daily and was under severe financial crisis. He was under a burden of a Rs 10 lakh loan. On Wednesday, he along with his wife Meena first killed their 5 and 3-year-old children and then he hanged himself and his wife consumed poison.
Next day, when neighbours got no response while knocking on their door, they broke the door and found Rao and his children dead while his wife was battling for her life.
The police have registered a case and the dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
The incident has shocked the small town and senior journalists have also expressed grief over the tragic suicide of the journalist.
