Telangana reports 181 new COVID-19 cases, one death takes toll

to 1,650 Hyderabad, Mar 12 (PTI) Telangana recorded 181 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the total caseload to 3,00,717, while the death toll rose to 1,650 with one more fatality, the state government said on Friday.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 44, followed by Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts with 19 and 15 cases respectively, it said in a bulletin, providing details as of 8 PM on March 11.

It said 163 patients recovered from the infection on March 11.

The cumulative recovered cases stood at 2,97,195, while 1,872 were under treatment.

The bulletin said 21,340 samples were tested on March 11.

Cumulatively, the number of samples tested was 91,14,985.

The samples tested per million population was 2,44,894, it said.

The recovery rate in the state was 98.82 per cent, while it was 96.8 per cent in the country, it added.

The case fatality rate in the state was 0.54 per cent, while it was 1.4 per cent at the national level, it said.

Meanwhile, 6,91,696 people have been given COVID-19 vaccine cumulatively, according to an official release.PTI SJR SS PTI PTI
