Telangana: HC gives state government 48-hour ultimatum to take a call on lockdown

The Telangana High Court has set a 48-hour ultimatum to the state government to take a call on whether it will impose a lockdown to contain the rise in COVID cases in the state or not. Expressing disappointment over the measures taken by the state government in handling the second wave of COVID-19 in Telangana. The court gave an ultimatum of two days warning that it will issue orders on its own if the state authorities do not make a decision within the time period given. The state has recorded 4009 COVID cases. Furthermore, the court said that the state has to consider intensifying the restrictions and should consider imposing a night curfew. Watch!
