Telangana DGP pitches for 'concerted efforts' to battle child labour, human trafficking

Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma on Saturday called for the need of 'concerted efforts' of the labour department, welfare department and international agencies such as UNISEF, to battle the menace of child labour and human trafficking. Sharma's expressed his views while addressing a gathering at the 'Telangana State Conference on Prevention of Human Trafficking' in Hyderabad. He was the chief guest at the event organised by state police's Crime Investigation Department (CID). Asserting that Telangana Police is working their best to curb incidents of child labour and human trafficking, Sharma said that maximum number of child workers rescued, is among the highest in India.
