TED Talks Nayi Soch: 5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Miss Watching Shah Rukh Khan's Show

He gave them an excuse they can use when their parents scold them for watching videos and surfing internet. Shah Rukh said that if parents shout at them for constantly consuming gadgets all day, then kids should tell them they also watch ‘TED Talks’ and their this reply will make the parents proud of their kids. Along with the video, he posted a write up as well in the tweet. The tweet read: For kids and their parents… Ideas are currency for everyone! #TEDTalksIndiaNayiSoch, Starts 10th Dec, 7pm.

Here is the promo video:

In one of the interviews, Shah Rukh had said, “People will share stories about changes in society, in life — whether it’s about the climate, dangerous diseases or to help empower women — and all of this will be integrated. There are some beautiful stories — both Indian and international — which the team is planning to get on one platform and do a nice mix of Hindi and English speakers. I feel it will be a niche show.”

Shah Rukh earlier in a statement said following about the concept: “Ideas are the new cool currency, the new rock n roll. This show is a unique and powerful initiative towards opening people’s minds to the power of ideas and encouraging ‘Nayi Soch’. An idea can inspire you with limitless possibilities, give you an alternative perspective to look at oneself, one’s surroundings and future.”

This is not Shah Rukh’s first collaboration with TED talks. Earlier this year he gave a very powerful speech at the TED platform at Canada and the talk show was a super hit.  The Indian version of the show will feature speakers from various walks of life. They will share their ideas and philosophies in the TED’s signature style. This is the first time that TED has collaborated with a TV network to come up with TV series in Hindi. Reportedly the first speaker on the show will be Shah Rukh’s close aide and famous movie maker Karan Johar. What are your views? Are you excited about the show? Let us know in the comments below.
