Tata H5 SUV
The Tata H5 SUV will be a premium compact SUV from Tata Motors. Tata Motors will be offering 5-seat as well as 7-seat options (Tata Q501 & Q502 respectively) on the H5 SUV. The Tata H5 SUV is based on old Land Rover Discovery Sport’s L550 platform, but will be localised to match Tata’s demands. The Tata H5 will be powered by a Fiat sourced 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine available in two power tunes – 140 BHP on Q501 and 170 BHP on the Tata Q502. This engine will be mated to 6-speed manual as well as automatic transmissions. The 5-seat Tata H5 will rival the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster, while the 7-seat Tata H5 will rival the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and the Honda CR-V.
