Upcoming Tata Altroz will feature a 1.2-litre petrol engine and it will deliver 102 hp and 140 Nm of torque. The company will definitely offer manual as well as automatic transmission options with this powertrain.

Tata Altroz launch is just around the corner. The Indian automobile giant had announced that the premium hatchback will be introduced in India in the mid-2019. We are in the last week of June and in all probability, the launch will take place next month. As we are nearing towards the introduction, Tata Motors is giving us a glimpse of Altroz in different ways. First, it was a teaser video and now the company has released several photographs.

Officially showcased at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show first, the upcoming Tata Altroz is based on the company's ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture. The premium hatchback will be the second Tata vehicle to showcase the Impact 2.0 Design Language, the first obviously being Tata Harrier.

The new pictures released by Tata Motors reveal the dual-tone interiors of Altroz. The premium hatchback will also be available in dual-tone roof options. It will have features like bold grille, dual slim headlamps and piano black ORVM. The rear door handle is placed on the C-pillar. Its cabin gets a cockpit-like theme. Also available will be a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and TFT cluster display with a new interface.

Tata Altroz will feature a 1.2-litre petrol engine and it will deliver 102 hp and 140 Nm of torque. The company will definitely offer manual as well as automatic transmission options with this powertrain. We might see a retuned version of Tata Nexon's 1.5-litre diesel engine in the premium hatchback. Although this is not official yet.

Tata Motors' vehicles are known to be very safe. Altroz will get standard safety features like dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), seatbelt reminder, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX, day and night IRVM and speed alert system.

We are expecting Tata Altroz to be launched in the price range of Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will challenge the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Toyota Glanza.
