Tamil Nadu: CM Edapaddi K Palaniswami writes to PM Modi seeking help in supply of COVID drugs

The Tamil Nadu government has urged the Centre to allocate an "assured supply" of 20 lakh doses of COVID vaccines to ensure an unhindered inoculation drive in the state as it battled the second COVID wave. Chief Minister K Palaniswami has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the lack of supply of Remdesivir which is a life-saving anti-viral drug used in COVID treatment. He said that the Centre needs to fast track the work on COVID vaccine supply and must ensure the availability of the crucial treatment drug Remdesivir.
