Uttar Pradesh: Civic Body Chief Shehla Tahir Arrested in Assault Case Shortly After Her Oath-taking Event
Bengaluru, Nov 18: A 24-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and ‘raping’ a 17-year-old boy. Both of them are residents of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) in Bengaluru. The woman has been married for two years and the boy is a school dropout.
Police have booked the woman under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Reports quote police as saying that the medical tests of the duo confirm ‘sexual contact’ between them.
A report in The Times of India says that the duo went missing on October 24. Following the missing complaint of the woman by her husband and of the boy by his father, the police began investigation. On scanning the CCTV footages near KGF bus stand, the police found that the duo had boarded an Andhra Pradesh-bound bus on October 24 evening.
During the investigation, the woman’s husband, who is in the business of supplying drinking water, revealed that she had taken Rs 1.5 lakh with her.
On tracking the woman’s phone calls, the police reached to a conclusion that the duo was changing places every two days. As quoted by TOI, a police officer said that the woman and the boy visited Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nellore and some parts of Tamil Nadu including Mahabalipuram where they stayed at lodges.
The police caught up with the duo at a hotel in Velankanni of Tamil Nadu on November 13.
