‘Taking Billion Dreams to Moon’: Twitter on Chandrayaan-2 Launch

India’s second lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, finally launched at 2:43 pm on Monday, 22 July, from the second launchpad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota – a week after the lift-off was aborted due to a technical snag.

The Chandrayaan-2 mission came 11 years after ISRO successfully carried the first lunar mission.

As GSLV Mk-III launch vehicle, also known as the ‘Bahubuli’, took off from the launchpad in Andhra Pradesh, jubilant Twitter users couldn't contain their emotions.

While some many congratulated ISRO for the mission, others expressed their pride of “being Indian” after the marvelous feat.
