RRB Recruitment 2018 Group D: Here’s How to Apply Online For Over 50,000 Vacancies
New Delhi, Nov 22: Passengers of a Maharashtra bound train from Delhi were left in a lurch when it took a wrong route and before anyone could realise the mistake, the train had already travelled 160 km and reached Madhya Pradesh.
The incident was reported on November 20 when Swabhimani Express, specially arranged for 2,500 farmers of the Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee protesting in Delhi, left for Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
The train left the Safdarjung railway station on schedule but, took the wrong route and after travelling 160 km, it reached Banmor in MP.
Interestingly, the driver was unaware of what had happened till the farmers deboarded and informed him that the train has reached Madhya Pradesh instead of Maharashtra.
Where’s the train now?
After the train reached Banmor, farmers started protesting and alleged a conspiracy behind the train taking the wrong route. This prompted the train master to redirect Swabhimani Express on its original course. Now, the train is scheduled to reach Kolhapur today, November 22.
