Suspected of being police informer, Maoists stone guard to death

In another incident of violence by the Maoists, a village guard was crushed to death by pelting stones at him in Odisha's Malkangiri on Saturday. Jaga Rao, gram rakhi of insurgency-hit Jantapaie village, was killed by the Maoists on suspicion of him being a police informer. The attackers dropped a hand-written note that claimed Rao of being a police informer. This is the second such incident within a span of 12 hours. Earlier, a man was killed in Cheliamunda village on the same suspicion. Deceased Jaga Rao's body has been sent for post-mortem.
