This is not the first time that Swaraj has come under attack by trolls on social media. The senior BJP leader and former External Affairs Minister was criticised by extremists for one of her earlier tweets as well. However, Swaraj has always hit back at the tweets in style and yet never lost her grace and poise.

New Delhi, July 21: Sushma Swaraj shut down a troll in style after a user made a disrespectful and insensitive tweet on the senior BJP leader. Swaraj, who is known for her presence and popularity on Twitter, once again proved why she is considered among the best users of the social media platform in the current government. The insensitive tweet in question referred to the death of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and the user remarked that “You (Swaraj) will also be missed badly one day just like Sheila Dixit(sic).” Sheila Dikshit Cremated at Nigambodh Ghat With Full State Honours, Nation Bids Tearful Adieu.

Now this tweet was enough to infuriate even those politicians who are known for their composure and calm. But Swaraj showed remarkable grace and poise and replied to the troll saying, “I thank you in anticipation for this kind thought.”

Swaraj had come under the attack of right-wing social media users after her Ministry had taken action against passport officer Vikas Mishra in Lucknow, who allegedly harassed an interfaith couple during the discharge of his duty.
