Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Highlights: SRH beat RCB by 35 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad began their title defence in style after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs in the first match of the Indian Premier League season 10 at Hyderabad.

Yuvraj Singh and Moises Henriques’ respective half centuries steered the hosts to victory over Virat Kohli-less depleted RCB team.

RCB’s Rashid Khan bowled an impressive spell of his four overs taking 2 wickets in the process.

Chasing a target of 208, openers Chris Gayle and Mandeep Singh notched up a 52-run partnership. After initial dot balls, Gayle got going with 3 massive sixes and 2 fours before getting caught by Sunrisers skipper David Warner at the boundary.

Mandeep Singh was bowled by debutant Khan at 24.

Lack of runs by the RCB batsmen proved futile for them as no batsmen could score a half century. RCB captain Shane Watson had a night to forget as he gave away 41 runs in his 3 overs. and managed to score only 22 runs.

In the first innings, Moises Henriques and Yuvraj Singh steered Sunrisers Hyderabad to a competitive total. Henriques scored a quick-fire fifty.

Henriques scored 52 runs in 37 balls before falling prey to YS Chahal’s delivery.

Losing captain David Warner for 14 runs, Shikhar Dhawan kept scoring at regular intervals rotatiing the strike
with Henriques.

They had a 74-run partnership between them when Dhawan got out for 40 runs.

Next up was Yuvraj, who was scoring at will. He kept hitting boundaries at regular intervals.

Singh scored 62 runs in 27 balls that included 3 massive sixes and 7 fours. He fell to TS Mills’s ball in the
19th over.
