On the work front, Sunny is a part of an ambitious period-drama, Veeramadevi, her first lead role in South Indian film. However, even before the release, VC Vadivudaiyan-directed film has run into troubles with members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, a pro-Kannada organisation objecting to Sunny’s casting in the movie. The protestors burned posters and effigies demanding the makers to remove the actress from Veeramadevi. "If Sunny Leone plays this role, it will be an insult to our culture. Veeramahadevi is our goddess, we will not allow this," said Harish, president of KRV's Yuva Sena. But it looks Sunny is least troubled by the protests as she enjoys a good time on the foreign shore.
