Chandigarh, Sep 8 (PTI) Hot and humid conditions prevailed at most places in Haryana and Punjab on Tuesday, with maximum temperatures settling two-three notches above the normal limits.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 34.8 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department here.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum of 35.3 degrees Celsius while Hisar's maximum settled at 35.6 degrees Celsius.
Karnal registered a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius while Narnaul recorded a high of 34.8 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Patiala recorded a high of 36 degrees Celsius.
Ludhiana recorded a high of 34.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum settled at 34.9 degrees Celsius in Amritsar.
According to the MeT Department forecast, dry weather is likely to prevail in Haryana and Punjab for the next two days. PTI SUN CK
