Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), June 4 (ANI): To raise voice against the constant discrimination against the Northeast citizens, over 30 students unions and organisations across the region and other parts of India have started a movement called ‘A chapter for NE’. Students groups say that the campaign is aimed to solve the issue of racism and to create awareness about the region and their contributions to India. Using hashtag #AchapterforNE and #NortheastMatters, the students are demanding more chapters on the history and culture of the Northeast. The online campaign took heat after a YouTuber Paras Singh via his YouTube channel called former Lok Sabha MP and sitting Congress legislator Ninong Ering “non-Indian” and said Arunachal Pradesh was “part of China”.
