The students Camford International School on Thursday attempted to create a new Guiness World Record by designing the world's largest disposable paper cup mosaic with the image of APJ Abdul Kalam. The focus is to create awareness about the environment by using disposable cups and not plastic. For the attempt, 2 lakh 35 thousand disposable cups of 5 different shades was used with 300 students participants and 167 volunteers within the area of 929 sq mt. Students used disposable cups so as to convey the message that one can even create records by using Bio degradable things and that people should understand the value of environment. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was featured in the mosaic as he was very inspirational person in the Indian history and people can easily connect with him. He was also a well known figure for people of all age groups. The objective of this initiative was not to create world record, but to basically organize a school event in which students could participate. The school had earlier also organized a program on "save girl child" so as to teach students planning and organizing.
