St Petersburg Blast: Witnesses Describe the Horrific Aftermath

Eleven people have been reportedly killed in the blast and 50 injured.

An amateur video recorded the chaos that erupted in the aftermath of blast in St Petersburg metro station in Russia on Monday.

Train passengers can be seen desperately clambering out of the carriage as smoke hangs in the tunnel. Witnesses describe the scene just after the explosion, with some recalling the sight of badly wounded passengers.

Eleven people have been reportedly killed in the blast and 50 injured.

Kyrgyztan’s security service has identified the blast suspect as Kyrgyz-born Russian Akbarzhon Jalilov, born in Osh in 1995.
