Srinagar (J&K) June 23 (ANI): Administration upgraded the oldest silk factory in Srinagar with new machinery and latest technology. A new building has also been provided to the staff. The factory is now producing good quality material in greater quantity. The factory became obsolete back in 2014 during J&K floods but the World Bank has provided funds to brace up the unit. Workers of this factory are very happy with these new automatic machines. “Old building and machinery was damaged during 2014 floods but we are happy with these new machineries, work has become easy and fun, we like this new building,” a factory worker told ANI.
