After airports across the country were put on alert to prevent the escape of UP cabinet minister Gayatri Prajapati, BJP leader and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said that the SP-Congress alliance should apologise for giving Prajapati a ticket in the 2017 Assembly elections.
Prajapati is accused of allegedly gang-raping a woman and molesting her daughter, and is reportedly missing.
Venkaiah Naidu said:
Venkaiah Naidu, BJP leader and Union MinisterSP-Congress alliance should have at least said in public that it was mistake to give a ticket to Gayatri Prajapati and that we won’t support him.
Gayatri Prajapati is facing arrest after an FIR was lodged against him and his six accomplices on 18 February 2017 under various sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act.
