Soybean futures slip on muted demand

New Delhi, Mar 10 (PTI) Soybean prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 10 to Rs 5,210 per quintal in futures market as participants cut down their positions on weak spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean contracts for March delivery fell Rs 10, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 5,210 per quintal with an open interest of 33,495 lots.

Soybean for April delivery went down by Rs 10, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 5,170 per quintal with an open interest of 1,46,670 lots.

The fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly due to reduction of exposure by participants, marketmen said. PTI SRS SHW SHW
