Soybean futures slip on muted demand

New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) Soybean prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 28 to Rs 4,240 per quintal in futures market as participants cut down their positions on weak spot demand. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean contracts for November delivery eased by Rs 28, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 4,240 per quintal with an open interest of 59,235 lots.

Soybean for December delivery traded lower by Rs 26, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 4,270 per quintal with an open interest of 1,02,900 lots. The fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly due to reduction of exposure by participants, marketmen said. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
