Soybean futures slide on muted demand

New Delhi, Mar 27 (PTI) Soybean prices on Friday fell 0.11 per cent to Rs 3,780 per quintal in futures market as participants cut down their positions on weak spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean contracts for April delivery dropped by Rs 4, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 3,780 per quintal with an open interest of 90,810 lots.

Soybean for May delivery also eased by Rs 2, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 3,768 per quintal with an open interest of 69,660 lots.

The fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly due to reduction of exposure by participants, marketmen said. PTI VHP SHW SHW
