New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) Soybean prices on Friday went up by Rs 26 to Rs 3,890 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for May delivery rose by Rs 26, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 3,890 per quintal with an open interest of 8,890 lots. Soybean for June delivery traded higher by Rs 24, or 0.63 per cent to Rs 3,804 per quintal with an open interest of 78,990 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS SHW SHW
