New Delhi, Mar 31 (PTI) Soybean prices on Wednesday gained Rs 29 to Rs 5,964 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for April delivery rose by Rs 29, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 5,964 per quintal with an open interest of 84,255 lots.
Likewise, soybean for May delivery traded higher by Rs 40, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 5,846 per quintal with an open interest of 90,500 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to the rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
