New Delhi, Mar 25 (PTI) Soybean prices on Thursday rose by Rs 78 to Rs 5,784 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for April delivery gained Rs 78, or 1.37 per cent, to Rs 5,784 per quintal with an open interest of 1,07,035 lots.
Likewise, soybean for May delivery traded higher by Rs 62, or 1.1 per cent, to Rs 5,700 per quintal with an open interest of 74,715 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to the rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
