New Delhi, Mar 12 (PTI) Soybean prices on Friday went up by Rs 39 to Rs 5,360 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for March delivery rose by Rs 39, or 0.73 per cent, to Rs 5,360 per quintal with an open interest of 24,890 lots.
Likewise, Soybean for April delivery went up by Rs 39, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 5,288 per quintal with an open interest of 1,51,640 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS SHW SHW
