New Delhi, Jan 1 (PTI) Soybean prices on Friday rose by Rs 13 to Rs 4,619 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for January delivery gained Rs 13, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 4,619 per quintal with an open interest of 1,10,745 lots.
Likewise, soybean for February delivery traded higher by Rs 24, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 4,627 per quintal with an open interest of 1,52,740 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to the rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
