New Delhi, Mar 22 (PTI) Soybean prices on Monday went up by Rs 125 to Rs 5,525 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for April delivery rose by Rs 125, or 2.31 per cent, to Rs 5,525 per quintal with an open interest of 1,37,095 lots.
Likewise, Soybean for May delivery went up by Rs 109, or 2.04 per cent, to Rs 5,462 per quintal with an open interest of 53,435 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS SHW SHW
