New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) Soybean prices on Wednesday went up by Rs 40 to Rs 3,754 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for July delivery rose by Rs 40, or 1.08 per cent, to Rs 3,754 per quintal with an open interest of 39,470 lots.
Soybean for August delivery went up by Rs 34, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 3,722 per quintal with an open interest of 25,645 lots.
Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
