Slight relief from intense cold as temperature rises in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Dec 21 (PTI) Himachal Pradesh witnessed slight relief from extreme cold wave conditions as the minimum temperature increased by two to three notches in the state in the last 24 hours, the Meteorological Department said on Monday. Lahaul-Spiti's administrative centre Keylong continued to be the coldest place in the state at minus 7.4 degrees Celsius, Met centre Shimla director Manmohan Singh said. Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a low of 0.8 degrees Celsius, while Manali, Kufri, Dalhousie and Shimla recorded a low of 2.4, 7.2, 7.7 and 8.1 degrees Celsius, respectively. The weatherman has predicted dry weather in the state till December 27. PTI DJI DPB
