If you ever need convincing that every body is different – particularly during and after pregnancy – look no further than Sarah Stage.
The fitness blogger and mother-of-two has been nicknamed “six-pack mom” because you could barely tell she was pregnant, even when she was days away from giving birth. So it’s hardly surprising that now that she’s welcomed her precious baby, Sarah is back in a bikini.
Sharing a photo on Instagram, she explained that she was trying to get back into her fitness routine, but was finding it difficult after a c-section.
“I was planning to start weight training/exercising,” she wrote, “but the other day the area above my incision started hurting again and was swelling there.”
“So after a long visit to the ER, several blood tests and a scan (which all came back negative for anything serious)… I’m going to just stick to my Nutrition Guide meal plan and let my body heal longer by resting and cuddling baby.”
Sarah went on to say that she wanted to share that experience to let other people who are having post baby issues to know they’re not alone.
“We each have a choice. To either be upset or make the best out of the situation. With a positive attitude we can get through anything,” she said.
