Sirisha Bandla, second Indian-American to fly into space

Sirisha Bandla the second Indian-origin woman, after Kalpana Chawla is all set to head to space as a member of the Virgin SpaceShip Unity on July 11. Born in Andhra Pradesh, Bandla will be one of the six space travellers aboard VSS Unity of Virgin Galactic. The spaceship is scheduled to take off from New Mexico, with the company’s founder Richard Branson. She completed her BSC in Aerospace , Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in 2011. Further on, she completed her MBA from George Washington University in 2015. She is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs at the British-American spacelift company. Watch the video to know more!
