Silver futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi, May 14 (PTI) Silver prices rose by Rs 377 to Rs 70,850 per kg in futures trade on Friday as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery gained Rs 377, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 70,850 per kg in 10,124 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mostly due to fresh positions built by participants on a positive domestic trend.
