New Delhi, Jun 2 (PTI) Silver futures on Tuesday plunged by Rs 171 to Rs 50,440 per kg as participants reduced their bets on low demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery tumbled by Rs 171, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 50,440 per kg in a business turnover of 13,703 lots.
Analysts said weak trends in overseas markets mainly kept pressure on silver prices in the domestic market.
Meanwhile, in the international market, silver prices traded 0.28 per cent lower at USD 18.77 an ounce in New York. PTI RUJ DRR DRR
