Punjab’s Advocate General Atul Nanda said on Wednesday that he has not found “no conflict on interest between Navjot Singh Sidhu’s office as state cabinet minister, and work on his TV shows.
In a four-page response to the issue, accessed by NDTV, the AG said:
There was no hindrance now to Sidhu’s continuation on TV shows, nor any need to change his culture portfolio

Sidhu’s appearance on Kapil Sharma’s TV show, among others, has been at the heart of a complaint raised by the Congress’ opposition who argue that it would interfere with his new role as a state cabinet minister.
The Punjab Congress on twitter reiterated the AG’s statement and showed their support for their new party member.

The former cricketer, who was touted by some to be appointed the CM of the state, was given the portfolios of cultural affairs, archives and museums.
