Siddique Kappan given interim bail to see his ill mother

Kerala Journalist Siddiqui Kappan who the Uttar Pradesh police claimed had tried inciting violence and communal riots in the name of caste after the Hathras gang rape and murder of a minor girl has been granted a five-day interim bail by the Supreme Court. This bail has granted to him so he can visit his ill mother in Mallapuram, Kerala. His lawyer Kapil Sibal requested the court to let the Journalist meet his mother who is reportedly in her last stages and too weak to talk to him over call. Heavy rules have been imposed on Kappan during this 5 day bail. The UP police is to accompany him to his town and in the meantime he is not allowed to talk to any media person, or make any appearances on social media and will be strictly only seeing his mother.
