Shiv Sena comes down heavily on 4 years of Modi govt
Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana has come down heavily on the four years of completion of the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government has failed to prove its efficiency to curb the attacks from Pakistan's side, terrorists or even control the diesel and petrol prices.
Shiv Sena editorial begins by saying that in last four years of the BJP government, Pakistan has made ceasefire violations over 2,000 times and has attacked the people of India on its border.
For last ten days, Pakistan has been making heavy firing near borders where several of our civilians have lost their lives. So far, 11 people have lost their lives.
The editorial adds that the government had said that in the month of Ramzan there would be no attacks initiated by the armed forces, which is a good gesture. However, Pakistan's tail will never become straight, it will always be curved.
They (Pakistan) are going to remain the same as they have been in the past.
11 of our people have died, over 60 people have been injured and nearly 120 villages have been destroyed from the heavy firing from Pakistan. And our government is doing nothing. In 2014, the government had said that the way Pakistan behaves, we will give it back to them in a similar way, so where is the answer?
The editorial further takes on the government on the issue of petrol diesel prices. It says there is no respite to people due to the spiralling fuel prices. The government keeps giving false promises.
