Adar Poonawalla flees India amid threats over vaccine supply; Maha govt presses for a complaint

A few days back the central government had announced the third phase of vaccination that is “vaccine for all”. This phase of vaccination was set to begin on 1st May’2021. The two major producers of vaccine that is Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech were supposed to provide a massive chunk of jabs to the government to upscale the vaccination drive in the country. Recently, Adar Poonawalla the chief of Serum Institute has now been in London for a couple of weeks stalling the vaccine production. He has claimed that he has been receiving threats from some powerful people and because of that pressure, he is not returning to India. Now the Maharashtra government has told Adar Poonawalla to file a written complaint about his allegations so that action can be taken.
