On August 11, 2020, Selena Gomez and Blackpink finally put all the crazy rumors to rest and confirmed that they were collaborating on a brand new song. Fans had been talking about who the K-pop group was planning to work with on their next track and Sel was a frontrunner for a while.

This isn't the first time that Blackpink has collaborated with pop royalty. They recently released "Sour Candy" with Lady Gaga as part of her recent album, Chromatica. Back in 2018, the group also released "Kiss and Make Up" with Dua Lipa as part of her self-titled album's complete edition.

The new track will be a part of Blackpink's highly anticipated album, The Album, which is set to be released on October 2, 2020. They group have already released their first single, "How You Like That" which also had the biggest premiere ever on YouTube with the release of its music video and the video with the most views in 24 hours.

With this brand new collab coming out soon, there's a good chance that they'll shatter those records again.
